Barcelona defender Eric Garcia explained his transfer on loan to Girona with the desire to get more playing time and enjoy football more.
Recall, 22-year-old defender moved from Barcelona on loan to Girona until the end of the current season. The footballer has been playing for Barça since July 2021, scoring one goal and giving two assists in 70 meetings.
Speaking to MundoDeportivo, Garcia said:
One of the reasons is to be able to get more minutes. Everyone has to think about their own business and I had to play and enjoy myself. That's why I made this decision.
In the current season, Garcia didn't make any productive actions for Girona. Transfermarkt website estimates the market value of the player at €10 million.
