Christopher Roux, journalist of the French publication Nice-Matin, in his interview with Sport24 spoke about France's defeat of Argentina (3-3, 2-4 in the penalty shoot-out) in the final of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
December 19, the South American national team won the third world title in its history, thanks to a double by Lionel Messi and a goal by Angel Di Maria in the regular time, and realizing all the attempts in the post-match penalty shoot-out. Kylian Mbappé scored a hat-trick for the French.

We went through every possible emotion in that final. It was really crazy. France had a great reaction [to the two missed goals] and a fantastic comeback. Mbappé is a true superman, who showed his leadership at the right moment and pulled off a seemingly hopeless match. But at the same time, we were total crap for 80 minutes. You can't say Argentina didn't deserve their win.
The 35-year-old captain of the Argentina national team became the world champion for the first time in his career. Also Messi, along with 23-year-old Mbappé, became the first player since Maradona to score ten goals in a single World Cup.
