Former Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has spoken about the failed careers of Mohamed Salah and Kevin de Bruyne at Stamford Bridge.
The Belgian played for Chelsea from 2012 to 2014, making just nine appearances in all competitions. Salah appeared in 19 matches for the Blues between 2014 and 2016 and scored two goals.

When I say it was the players [that made Chelsea successful], it was also a cultural thing around the club. It was like, ‘We are winners’, coming second was a disaster. There were loads of players that came in – not to say this is the reason, but Kevin De Bruyne came through and moved on, and [Mohamed] Salah, and they’re obviously world class players, to say the least now, but there were a lot of players that got patted away.
Former England player Jamie Carragher earlier expressed the opinion that the new owners of Chelsea are making a mess of the club.
