
The press service of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has announced the names of four contenders for the Champions League Player of the Week award for the 2024/2025 season.
Notably, on February 18 and 19, the second leg matches of the knockout stage took place, allowing the winners to advance to the round of 16.
The nominees are: La Liga striker Kylian Mbappe from Real Madrid and the French national team; midfielder Vitinha from French club Paris Saint-Germain and the Portuguese national team; winger Noa Lang from Eredivisie team PSV and the Dutch national team; and midfielder Orkun Kökçü from Primeira Liga club Benfica and the Turkish national team.
The 26-year-old Mbappe scored a hat trick in the match against Manchester City (3-1). The 25-year-old Vitinha found the net once against Brest (7-0). The 25-year-old Lang provided an assist in the game against Juventus (3-1), while 24-year-old Kökçü scored a goal against Monaco (3-3).
