It's a big surprise for me that Manchester United crashed out of the Champions League. Everyone assumed that Bayern Munich and my former club would make the playoffs, it turned out to be the opposite. Last place in the group is a surprising result. We should have at least made it to the Europa League, but there's nothing to be done here, this is life, this is football. The departure from the Champions League group is a shame for Manchester United.
Manchester United gained four points in six matches and took the last place in Group A, losing the opportunity to continue fighting in other European competitions. Bayern Munich and FC Copenhagen continue to fight in the Champions League, while Galatasaray advanced to the Europa League playoffs.
MU became the first club from England to concede 15 goals in the group stage of the Champions League.
