According to media sources, the incident occurred on Thursday, resulting in Akin sustaining a gunshot wound to his leg. He was urgently hospitalized. Details of the incident have yet to be disclosed.

Serhat Akin is 43 years old. He played for Fenerbahce from 2000 to 2005, making 154 appearances, during which he scored 49 goals and provided 27 assists. For the Turkish national team, he netted three goals in 16 matches.
