Former Chelsea player Frank Leboeuf criticized Al-Nassr forward Cristiano Ronaldo for claiming that the Saudi Arabian league surpasses the French Ligue 1.
Leboeuf told Goal.com:
It annoys me when I hear Cristiano Ronaldo saying that the Saudi Pro League is better than Ligue 1. It’s because Lionel Messi played in Ligue 1. I have lots of respect for him as a player but come on, just shut up!
In January of this year, Ronaldo stated that the Saudi Pro League surpasses the level of the French Ligue 1.
Ronaldo joined the Saudi Arabian league in the winter transfer window of the 2022/23 season. The 39-year-old forward has played 49 matches for Al-Nassr, scoring 42 goals and providing 13 assists.
