Former Spanish Celta captain and current Internacional (Brazil) player Hugo Mallo faces up to three years in prison for groping the team's mascot's chest, AS reports.
According to the source, Mallo faces up to three years in prison because of allegations of sexual assault. It is reported that the player touched the woman in a parrot costume before the match of the Spanish Primera with Espanyol (1:1) in 2019.
If the footballer is found guilty, he will have to pay the victim a monthly compensation for moral injury over the next two years.
The 32-year-old defender spent 448 matches for Celta in all tournaments in 15 years, scoring 12 goals and making 28 assists.
