Former Barcelona and Atletico Madrid midfielder Arda Turan has been sentenced to one year of probation and fined for tax evasion.
The former Turkish footballer dodged tax payments twice, in 2015 and 2016. For each of these crimes, Turan received six months of probation. Additionally, the midfielder was ordered to pay a fine of 633,000 euros.
Turan ended his sports career in 2022.
Previously, the former footballer was involved in a scandal in Turkey when he was caught harassing the wife of a famous local singer.
