Lautaro scored the winning goal from a penalty shoot-out in the World Cup 2022 quarter-final match against the Netherlands (2-2, 4-3, penalties) that took the Argentines to the semifinals.
Earlier, Martínez's agent said Lautaro is taking injections after being injured in the match against Saudi Arabia (1-2). It should be noted that the Argentine was considered one of the main contenders for the Golden Shoe before the World Cup.
