Spain women's national team midfielder Jennifer Hermoso has filed a complaint with the Spanish prosecutor's office against Royal Soccer Federation president Luis Rubiales over a kiss.
According to Cadena SER, the complaint was sent on September 5. A press release confirming the move by the 33-year-old footballer is expected soon.
Recall, the Spanish women's national team won the World Cup for the first time in history this August, defeating England in the final with a minimum score of 1-0. During the awarding of gold medals, RFEF head Luis Rubialec kissed Hermoso on the lips, becoming the center of a sexist scandal.
Spanish prosecutors have opened an investigation into the sexual assault case. Rubiales also faces a suspension from football for up to 15 years by FIFA.
