Football Kenya Federation (FKF) president Nick Mwendwa has told Telecomasia.net that he is finally relieved, the issue of the delayed Federation polls is now water under the bridge, after this weekend’s Special General Meeting (SGM) in Nairobi.
Nick Mwendwa
I am pleased that we can finally have this monster of elections over and done with, and move our football forward.
The elections had stalled for almost six months due to various court cases, but after the weekend SGM, the road map, agreeable by all stakeholders, has been drawn.
Mwendwa told Telecomasia.net.
We have dragged on with it for so long, and we have to move on. I am delighted that both the electoral code and the board which will conduct the elections has been agreed on, and now we can do proper planning to have the elections as soon as possible
The SGM approved a new set of electoral guidelines, which brought a middle ground, with most of the contentious issues agreed on.
