As reported by Reuters, FIFA has postponed its meeting regarding the Palestinian Football Association's (PFA) request to suspend Israel's national teams from participating in FIFA-sanctioned tournaments once again.
On May 17, RMC Sport reported that PFA President Jibril Rajoub demanded FIFA halt Israeli membership due to escalating conflict in Gaza as of October 2023. The matter is now set to be discussed at the next FIFA Council meeting, scheduled for October 2024.
On July 19, it was announced that the Israeli team, led by coach Ran Ben Shimon, would play a UEFA Nations League match against Belgium on safety grounds in Debrecen, Hungary. This Group A2 matchup is scheduled for September 6.
