The International Football Federation has opened a disciplinary case against the head of the Spanish Football Federation Luis Rubiales after the scandals involving him at the Women's World Cup.
FIFA statement
The FIFA disciplinary committee informed Luis Rubiales, president of the Spanish Football Association, today that it is opening disciplinary proceedings against him based on the events that occurred during the final.
Recall, Rubiales caused two scandals during the Women's World Cup, which was held this year in Australia. First it became known that Rubiales kissed the football player of the Spanish national team Jennifer Hermoso without her consent during the awards ceremony for the winners of the tournament. Then the media published pictures where Rubiales is showing an obscene gesture while standing next to the Queen of Spain.
