FIFA Employee Arrested on Suspicion of Relations with Minor

FIFA has suspended British employee Jack Coles amid allegations of engaging a minor in sexual activities, according to Sky News.

In a statement, FIFA acknowledged that it is aware of a court case in Miami involving serious personal misconduct unrelated to Coles’ work with the organization.

FIFA statement
The individual has been suspended with immediate effect and until further notice from all duties. FIFA has no further comment at this stage.

Last October, Coles met a 14-year-old boy through a dating app. Reports indicate that the boy claimed to be 16 when communicating with Cowles and later contacted federal investigators. Coles is accused of intending to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a minor.

He holds the position of project manager in FIFA Sound, the department responsible for the musical accompaniment of events and broadcasts.
