FIFA bans England captain Kane from wearing OneLove armband in support of LGBT

The Telegraph reported that FIFA has notified England captain Harry Kane through the English Football Association (FA) not to wear the OneLove armband in support of the LGBT community at the 2022 World Cup matches in Qatar.

FIFA has warned all teams participating in the 2022 World Cup that only the organization can make changes to players' on-field outfits. An act of this kind on the field during a match may result in a yellow card in the first second.

OneLove campaign for inclusion and against discrimination was supported by several teams at World Cup 2022. FIFA introduced alternative OneLove armbands with the image of a heart, but without the LGBT flag.

England will kick off World Cup 2022 with a match against Iran on November 21 at 1 p.m. GMT.
