The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) has announced the nominees for the Best Goalkeeper of 2022 award. The Best award is presented annually at the end of the season to the best goalkeeper.
FIFA included Alisson (Liverpool, Brazil), Yassine Bounou (Sevilla, Morocco), Thibaut Courtois (Real Madrid, Belgium), Dominik Livaković (Dinamo Zagreb, Croatia), Mike Maignan (AC Milan, France), Emiliano Martínez (Aston Villa, Argentina) and Manuel Neuer (Bayern, Germany).
The winner of The Best will be announced on February 27. The goalkeepers' achievements between August 8, 2021 and December 18, 2022 will be taken into account to determine the result. The reigning winner of the award is Chelsea goalkeeper Édouard Mendy.
Argentina goalkeeper Martinez was announced as the best goalkeeper of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, where the South American team won the World Cup for the third time in history.
