According to Telecomasia.net, Spartak's sports director, Francis Cagigao, is trying to stick to the current salary cap during negotiations with midfielder Gedson Fernandes.
As reported by Championat, this salary cap was set by the previous sports director of Spartak, Tomas Amaral, at 2.5 million euros per year. If the transfer goes through successfully, the player's salary will match that of the leading players at Spartak, although the contract may include an expanded bonus section.
Negotiations between Spartak and Besiktas regarding Fernandes are in an active phase, according to Telecomasia.net. The Portuguese player is one of the priorities for Spartak, but the club has alternative options that have not yet appeared in the media in case the deal falls through.
Earlier, journalist Tugba Hacıbayramoğlu reported that Fernandes had agreed to the transfer to Spartak. According to the source, the Moscow club offered the player a salary of 4 million euros per year.
