Alf-Inge Haaland, a former footballer and father of Manchester City striker Erling Haaland, has been exploring the possibility of arranging his son's transfer to either Real Madrid or Barcelona in recent months.
Sport.es notes that at the moment the Norwegian has developed a more trusting relationship with Real Madrid. The interest in the forward is supported by the potential signing of French forward Kylian Mbappe, who currently plays for PSG. However, contacts are still maintained with representatives of the Catalan team.
It is noted that the player himself hopes to continue his career in Spain.
In the current season, Haaland has played 34 matches for Manchester City, scoring 29 goals and providing six assists. His current contract with the English club runs until the summer of 2027. The Transfermarkt portal estimates the player's market value at 180 million euros.
Earlier, there were reports in the media about Barcelona's interest in Haaland. However, representatives of the Catalan club have stated that they do not plan any major transfers in the near future.
