A Danish fan wasn't allowed to the 2022 World Cup match in Qatar between the United States and Wales because of his rainbow-colored socks.

"I was stopped after I went through security. Then the security guard looked at me and told me to put my socks and armbands in the locker. I asked why I had to do that. He replied again, "You have to put them in the locker." It was clear that this was out of the question," TV2 quoted the fan as saying.

He added that he had to roll up his socks so they wouldn't be visible and put the armband in his pocket, then was able to walk to the stands.

The first-round group-stage match between the United States and Wales, which took place on November 21, ended with a score of 1-1.
