According to insider and journalist Fabrizio Romano, Erik ten Hag, the head coach of Manchester United, will not be dismissed in the near future. He shared this information on his social media platforms.
Romano stated that while the club continues to support the coach, the pressure on him is mounting.
The upcoming two matches – against Porto in the UEFA Europa League (scheduled for October 3 at 22:00 GMT+3) and Aston Villa in the Premier League (on October 6 at 16:00) – will be crucial for ten Hag. Both the results and the quality of the team's performance will be significant factors, he noted.
Currently, the Red Devils sit in 13th place in the Premier League table, having earned seven points after six matches.
Ten Hag has been in charge of the English club since May 2022. Under his leadership, the team has played 123 matches, winning 69, drawing 20, and losing 34. In the 2022/23 season, Manchester United clinched the EFL Cup, while they secured the FA Cup in the 2023/24 season.
Moreover, journalist Piers Morgan expressed his disappointment after the heavy defeat of Manchester United by Tottenham (0:3) on his social media.
