Santos forward and Brazilian national team star Neymar has voiced his opposition to the Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus leading the national team, as reported by ESPN Brazil.
The Brazilian Football Federation is still searching for a replacement for Dorival Junior, with candidates including Jorge Jesus from Al-Hilal and Carlo Ancelotti from Real Madrid.
According to sources, Neymar, the all-time top scorer for the Brazilian national team, does not want to see Jesus take charge, considering their previous work at Al-Hilal. It is reported that Ancelotti is Neymar’s preferred choice.
Neymar left Al-Hilal in January 2025 after playing only seven matches over one and a half years due to injuries. Before Neymar's return to Santos, Jorge Jesus excluded him from the squad for the spring season, stating that he did not meet the standards of the Saudi league.
