
According to ESPN, MLS club Inter Miami is interested in Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, who is also the captain of the Belgian national team.
Sources indicate that Inter Miami has priority among MLS teams to negotiate with the 33-year-old City star, as the club has previously placed De Bruyne on their shortlist. Inter Miami are the holders of the player’s discovery right, granting them the exclusive right to initiate transfer discussions ahead of other clubs.
On April 4, the Belgian, who has played for City since August 2015 and has helped the team win six English Premier League titles (2017/2018, 2018/2019, 2020/2021, 2021/2022, 2022/2023, 2023/2024) and the UEFA Champions League in the 2022/2023 season, announced he would leave the club at the end of the 2024/2025 season. Earlier, on December 6, 2024, sports journalist Jeremy Cross already reported that De Bruyne might join 2022 World Cup champion Lionel Messi at Inter Miami.
In the current Premier League season, De Bruyne has played 21 matches, scoring two goals and providing six assists. He has also participated in seven UEFA Champions League matches. According to Transfermarkt, his market value is estimated at 27 million euros.
