Former Aston Villa and England striker Gabriel Agbonlahor has spoken about the chances of nominees for the Ballon d'Or award this season.
TalkSPORT quotes Agbonlahor as saying:
You have to give it to Messi though, you have to. Winning the world Cup (in which) he was outstanding. Like a God on the pitch.
French publication France Football earlier unveiled a list of 30 nominees for the best footballer award. For the first time in 19 years, forward Cristiano Ronaldo was not among the contenders for the Ballon d'Or. Ronaldo is currently playing in Saudi Arabia's Al-Nassr.
