The semifinal match between the Netherlands and England at Euro 2024 will be refereed by German official Felix Zwayer, who was previously implicated in a high-profile match-fixing scandal.
On June 8th, news emerged that the referee could be suspended. However, UEFA has now made a final decision not to withdraw his officiating team from the semi-final match, as reported by Daily Mail.
In 2005, Zwayer was involved in a scandal with referee Robert Hoyzer, who was accused of biased officiating in matches in Germany's second and third divisions, resulting in a prison sentence.
The Euro 2024 semi-final match will take place on July 10th at the Signal Iduna Park stadium in Dortmund, beginning at 22:00 GMT+3.
