The England national team defeated the Wales national team at the third round of the group stage of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, which took place on November 29.
The meeting of the British neighbors was held at Ahmed bin Ali Stadium and ended with a resounding 3-0 win for the English.
The score was opened on 50 minutes. Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford scored. Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden doubled the lead a minute later. Rashford put the final point in the meeting by securing the double.

Due to this victory, England claimed first place in the group with seven points and ensured their participation in the World Cup playoffs. Wales, with one point, finished fourth in Group B.
