The District Prosecutor's Office in Amsterdam has confirmed the arrest of Spartak Moscow striker Quincy Promes in Dubai, UAE.
In an official statement, it was mentioned that through constructive cooperation with the authorities in the UAE and the Netherlands, a 32-year-old man residing in Moscow was arrested in Dubai.
While the name of the detainee was not disclosed, the prosecutor's press service confirmed to Sports Express that it was indeed Promes.
The arrest was made based on the Red Note received from the Netherlands. The Dutch prosecution will seek the extradition of Promes to his home country, where he has been sentenced to 7.5 years in prison.
