FIFA's press service has announced the seven nominees for the Best Goalkeeper award for 2024.
The nominated goalkeepers are: Gianluigi Donnarumma (Paris Saint-Germain), Ederson (Manchester City), Mike Maignan (AC Milan), Emiliano Martínez (Aston Villa), Unai Simon (Athletic Club), David Raya (Arsenal), and Andriy Lunin (Real Madrid).
It is noteworthy that the nominees were selected based on their performances for their clubs and national teams from August 21, 2023, to August 10, 2024.
The current titleholder is Ederson, the Brazilian goalkeeper for Manchester City.
Earlier, it was reported that Lionel Messi has chosen 17-year-old Barcelona player Lamine Yamal in his vote for the Best Player of the Year award.
