Argentina national team midfielder Angel Di Maria has commented on the injury of national team forward Lionel Messi.
The 36-year-old forward will not play in friendly matches against El Salvador and Costa Rica due to a muscle injury.
Di Maria was quoted by D Sports as saying:
Leo is always missed. It's a shame that this injury happened to him now, but we have to be calm. It's better that it happened now and he is fine for the Copa America.
The Copa America 2024 will take place from June 20 to July 14. The tournament will be held in 14 cities in the United States.
