Details Emerge About Ronaldo's Conflict with Ten Hag

Additional details regarding the conflict between Cristiano Ronaldo and former Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag have emerged, according to ESPN.

Sources indicate that Ronaldo's refusal to come on as a substitute during the 12th round of the Premier League match against Tottenham in the 2022/2023 season drew criticism from many players. At the same time, the players believed that the coaching staff's reaction to Ronaldo's actions was excessively harsh.

It has also been reported that after being excluded from the starting lineup due to his refusal to participate in the match, Ronaldo attempted to enter the team locker room to retrieve his personal belongings. However, club staff did not allow him access to the locker area.

Ronaldo was able to take his shoes only with the assistance of a young academy player, who went into the locker room and brought his things back to him. Many veteran players on the team found this treatment of Ronaldo to be humiliating.

Notably, in the 2022/23 season, Ronaldo played 16 matches across all tournaments for Manchester United, scoring three goals and providing two assists.
