
Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice commented on his two goals from free kicks in the first home match of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals for the 2024/25 season against Real Madrid.

It's been in the locker, but I've hit the wall too many times or it's gone over the bar. Originally we were going to cross it and then I've just seen the wall and the goalkeeper's position. So I thought just go for it. And Bukayo [Saka] said to just feel it. I'm excited, I'm happy, I'm over the moon.
The 26-year-old has played 43 matches in all competitions this season, scoring seven goals and providing eight assists.
The match between Arsenal and Real Madrid took place on February 8 in the UK and ended with a 3-0 victory for the Gunners. Los Blancos finished the match with ten players, as defender Eduardo Camavinga was sent off in the 90+4th minute. The return leg will be held in Spain on April 16.
