Dani Alves Spotted on Football Field for the First Time After Release from Prison

Former Brazilian national football team player Dani Alves was seen on the football field for the first time since his release from prison, according to the Daily Mail.

The 41-year-old player, who last participated in a professional match in 2023, took part in an amateur game in Barcelona. Alves wore a Boca Juniors jersey, despite never having played for the Argentine team. Reports indicate that the Brazilian organized his participation in the match using an app designed for local players to set up games.

To recap, last January, Alves was charged with rape in a Barcelona nightclub. He was subsequently sentenced to 4.5 years in prison and ordered to pay €150,000 to the victim as moral compensation. The Spanish prosecution planned to appeal the court's decision, believing that Alves should serve a longer sentence.

On March 25, Dani Alves was released on bail of one million euros. He is prohibited from leaving Barcelona and is required to check in with the police every week. Previously, the 41-year-old Brazilian refused to give interviews until the end of the legal proceedings.
