After scoring against Atletico Madrid (resulting in a 4-4 draw) in the semifinal of the Copa del Rey, Barcelona defender Pau Cubarsi has become the youngest player to score for the club as a defender in over a decade, dating back to the 2013/14 season.

According to Opta Sport, at the time of his first goal for the Blaugrana, Cubarsi was 18 years and 34 days old. Until that moment, he had already played in 63 matches for the team.

This season in La Liga, Cubarsi has participated in 25 games, making three assists. He has also played eight matches in the Champions League, two in the Spanish Supercup, and four in the Copa del Rey.

Previously, Goal reported that Barcelona is favored to win the UEFA Champions League following the draw.
