Portuguese footballer, forward, and captain of the national team, Cristiano Ronaldo, has stated that he is not contemplating retirement from international football.
Ronaldo said in an interview with AS:
It never crossed my mind that my cycle had come to an end. Quite the opposite: it gave me even more motivation to continue, to be honest.
Ronaldo has been representing the national team since 2003. He is a European champion and a five-time winner of the UEFA Champions League. The Portuguese Football Federation has recognized Ronaldo as the greatest player in the history of Portuguese football.
