
Former Belgian national team player and ex-Inter and Roma star Radja Nainggolan has been arrested by Brussels police on suspicion of drug trafficking.
On January 22, the midfielder signed with the club Lokeren-Temse from the second tier of Belgian football.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the former Belgian international was involved in importing banned substances from South America to Europe through the port in Belgium. Nainggolan was arrested as part of an investigation into organized crime in Belgium, and he is accused of participating in international drug trafficking.
Earlier, the Antwerp club suspended Nainggolan for smoking on the bench before one of the team's matches.
