The South American football confederation CONMEBOL has strongly condemned the altercation between Uruguayan players and Colombian fans after the Copa America 2024 semi-final in the USA.
The match ended 1-0 in favor of the Colombians. Following the final whistle, Uruguayan players went up to the stands and got into a fight with the fans.

CONMEBOL strongly condemns any act of violence that affects football. Our work is based on the conviction that soccer connects and unites us through its positive values. There is no place for intolerance and violence on and off the field.
In the final, Colombia will face Argentina. The match will take place on the night of July 14th-15th and will kick off at 03:00 GMT+3.
