Congolese midfielder of Atyrau, Joel Kayamba, in an interview with Telecomasia.net spoke about refereeing in the Kazakhstan Premier League and compared it to the Turkish Super League.
- The refereeing in Kazakhstan is often criticized. What do you think about this?
- This problem is not only present in Kazakhstan. Before moving here, I played in Turkey, where there were also issues with refereeing. I don't even know what to say. I have the right to my own opinion, but I better not go into details. Of course, referees are human too. Even European referees make mistakes. My experience with refereeing was the worst during my time in Turkey. However, I cannot blame the referees.
- You played for Samsunspor and Boluspor. Tell us about the difference between Kazakhstan and Turkish football.
- In Kazakhstan, power football prevails. There is very little space here. In the Kazakhstani championship, when you get the ball, there is nowhere to move. You are immediately guarded by opponents. As for the Turkish championship, after receiving the ball, you have a lot of space. You can run with the ball. Here, the opponent immediately puts pressure on you. The levels of the championship cannot be compared. Football in Turkey and Kazakhstan is different.
Recall, Kayamba joined the "Oilers” in the last off-season. In the current season Joel played five matches.
