Tusker FC midfielder and Kenyan international Chris Erambo says he wants to evolve his style of play by adding in more goals, as he looks forward to a successful 2024/25 season.
The midfielder enjoyed a breakout season last term in his debut appearance in the Kenyan top flight with the brewers, and he earned his maiden caps for the national team during that period. And as he prepares to make a step further and build his portfolio, the midfielder says he wants to score more goals.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Telecomasia.net, Erambo believes he can move a big step-up in his career this season.
Definitely I want to improve and do better. Last season was really great for me but that is not the end. I need to put in more effort in my game and one of the areas I have picked out that I could improve on is my goal scoring. I want to find the back of the net more.
Erambo plays as a deep lying defensive midfielder, but can do a box to box profile. He started his season over the weekend, scoring the only goal as Tusker beat Sofapaka 1-0 in the FKF Premier League. Last season, he scored twice.
His focus now is on the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, which start next week, and he hopes to get playing time as Kenya faces Zimbabwe and Namibia.
