
According to insider Fabrizio Romano, Geovany Quenda, a player from Lisbon side Sporting, will continue his career at London club Chelsea.
Sources report that the transfer of the 17-year-old Portuguese player will cost Chelsea €51 million. It was previously reported that the winger will join the Blues next year, signing a seven-year contract with an option for an additional season.
It has been emphasized that Chelsea outbid Bayern Munich and Manchester United, in the race to sign Quenda. The clubs wanted to acquire him during the summer transfer window.
This season, the winger has played in 44 matches across all competitions, scoring two goals and providing eight assists. His current contract with Sporting is valid until the summer of 2027, and his market value is estimated at €30 million according to Transfermarkt.
