The UEFA Champions League 2022/23 final may be moved from Istanbul, Turkey to Lisbon, Portugal.
The Daily Mail reports that the move is linked to the upcoming presidential elections in Turkey.
UEFA is concerned about social unrest in the country, having previously postponed the finals in 2020 and 2021 because of the coronavirus pandemic. The final match is set for Saturday, June 10.
Earlier, Real Madrid drew with Manchester City (1-1) and Milan lost to Inter (0-2) in the first semifinal matches of the tournament.
Recall that the current owner of the trophy is Real Madrid, having beaten Liverpool (1-0) in the final of the season 2021/22.
