Defender Dani Carvajal of Real Madrid was named the best player in the Champions League final of 2023/24 against Borussia Dortmund, as reported by the UEFA press service.
Real Madrid defeated Borussia with a 2:0 score and secured their 15th victory in the Champions League. Carvajal scored the opening goal in this match in the 74th minute, heading in a pass from Toni Kroos. Notably, this goal was the first for the Spanish defender in the current tournament.
In the previous season, Carvajal scored six goals and provided five assists in 41 matches. This victory in the Champions League final marks the sixth for the 32-year-old full-back.
Additionally, Carvajal became the oldest Real Madrid player to score in a Champions League final.
