Globoso reported that former Brazilian national team and Valencia footballer Marcelinho Carioca has been released, and the footballer explained the reasons for his kidnapping.
According to the former striker, the husband of a woman he met at a concert was responsible for his kidnapping.
The disappearance of the former footballer became known on December 17. Then his car was found 25 km from the place of the concert he attended. At the same time, Carioca's lawyer reported that the family of the athlete received ransom demands in the amount of $90 thousand reais (approximately $8 thousand dollars).
The 52-year-old footballer retired in 2010, he played for Flamengo, Valencia, Corinthians, Vasco da Gama, Santos and Al-Nassr.
