Famous Italian coach Fabio Capello has shared his thoughts on some negative traits of Pep Guardiola, the head coach of Manchester City.
Capello pointed out that despite Guardiola's exceptional coaching skills, he sometimes exhibits excessive arrogance and presumptuousness. He believes that Guardiola has missed opportunities to win trophies because he tries to demonstrate that the team’s success is solely due to him rather than the players.
At times, he has even lost trophies because he wanted to prove that he was the one winning and not the players, so he dropped key figures from the side in the big games. That was, in my view, an attempt to take the spotlight and the credit away from his squad.
Since taking charge in 2016, Guardiola has led Manchester City to six Premier League titles, one Champions League triumph, and two FA Cup victories.
Previously, Guardiola stated that he will not be working with other teams after his time at Manchester City and also expressed thoughts on potentially retiring.
