Former Manchester United player Eric Cantona has spoken about the game of Barcelona and Spain winger Lamine Yamal at Euro 2024.
The Athletic quotes Cantona as saying:
Having a player like Yamal is a real treat because you never know what he's going to do. He surprises everyone with his skills every time he steps on the field. His vision, technique, and decision-making are top-notch. I absolutely love it.
Yamal played seven matches at Euro 2024 in which he scored one goal and made four assists. The 17-year-old midfielder broke several records, became one of the best assistants of the tournament and was recognized as the best young footballer of the European Championship.
Earlier, Yamal became the first footballer under 19 years of age to be worth more than €100 million according to Transfermarkt.
