Liverpool will not sign Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo despite the record transfer fee of €127 million for English football, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
According to the source, Caicedo has notified the management that he does not want to move to Liverpool. It is also reported that the midfielder agreed the terms of the contract with Chelsea in May this year.
Caicedo has been playing in Brighton since February 2021. The midfielder's agreement with the team runs until the end of June 2027.
The 21-year-old has played 53 games for the English club, scoring two goals and making three assists. Transfermarkt website estimates the transfer value of the midfielder at €75 million.
