Portugal midfielder Bernardo Silva has commented on the outcome of the World Cup 2022 quarter-final match against Morocco (0-1).
The Manchester City player apologized to the Portuguese people for the team's poor performance at the Mundial.

It was a really tough game against a competitive, aggressive team. We are experiencing disappointment and sadness. Our spirit was great, we felt we could reach the semifinals. I apologize to the Portuguese people. Morocco is in the semifinals because they deserve it.
At the Qatari tournament, the Portuguese team ranked first in Group H and defeated Switzerland 6-1 in the last 16.
