Former Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has advised fellow Frenchman and current Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe not to give up and emphasized the need for him to play as a central striker.
Madrid Zone cites Benzema with reference to El Chiringuito TV:
Mbappe has to get it into his head that he has to be a ‘9’ and forget about the left. He’s been very good on the left and now he has to be good somewhere else.
Mbappe joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2024 and has played 14 games since then, scoring eight goals and providing two assists. His contract with the club is set to expire in 2029.
Previously, it was reported that Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti was dissatisfied with the Frenchman's play. It was also reported that Mbappe's teammates were unhappy with his performance.
