Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham has been suspended for the next two Spanish league matches due to comments made towards the referee after the La Liga match against Valencia.
The game ended in a 2-2 draw. In the final attack, referee Jesus Gil Manzano decided to end the match just before Real Madrid's third goal, scored by Bellingham.
According to Marca, the Committee decided to suspend Bellingham for showing disrespectful or inattentive behavior towards the referee. The Englishman will now miss matches against Celta and Osasuna.
Bellingham recently topped the list of favorites for the 2024 Ballon d'Or. Mason Greenwood recently requested that an investigation into Bellingham's remarks be dropped.
