Bayern Munich is looking to extend the contract of goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, as reported by journalist Florian Plettenberg. The current contract of the 38-year-old runs until the summer of 2025.
Neuer has been with the Munich club since 2011. Transfermarkt estimates the market value of the goalkeeper at €4 million.
According to sources, the club is also exploring replacement options for Neuer. One candidate is Alexander Nübel, who is currently on loan at Stuttgart. The club is also keeping an eye on Jonas Urbig from Cologne and Bart Verbruggen from Brighton.
Earlier reports indicated that the club is also considering Liverpool goalkeeper and Brazilian national team player Alisson Becker.
After Euro 2024, Neuer is expected to retire from the German national football team.
