According to journalist Christian Falk, Bayern Munich plans to allocate up to 200 million euros for acquiring new players during the summer transfer window. The German club is particularly focused on Barcelona.
Bayern Munich is interested in signing Barcelona's defender Ronald Araujo, who the Catalan club was willing to sell for 80 million euros in the winter. Currently, the Munich side is considering the possibility of acquiring midfielder Frenkie de Jong, as reported by Relevo.
De Jong feels comfortable at Barcelona, where he has become a key player. His salary will be 18 million in the new season, including a loyalty bonus for the current season. Despite Bayern's interest, de Jong has no plans to leave Barcelona. Before the match against Napoli, he expressed dissatisfaction with the media spreading inaccurate information about his possible departure from the club.
Barcelona is reviewing all incoming offers and awaits de Jong's decision. Selling the player could solve about half of the club's financial problems, and his transfer could generate between 60 to 70 million. Along with Robert Lewandowski, de Jong is one of the highest-paid players at Barcelona.
